Launching “Walk, Run, Train”

So, back in 2013 I was at a crossroads. I could carry on as I was was and slip further down the slippery path of declining health & fitness. Or I could find a way to change direction.

Well, I wanted my life back. I wanted to to be fit & healthy again. And I wanted to take my kids hiking in the mountains before they headed off to Uni and the big, wide world. I had My Big Why. Well a few of them in fact.

So I started planning how to reclaim my health & fitness and ended up building my 90 Day Plan. The plan worked for me and then some. Now I’ve launched an updated version that could work for you too:

This is “Walk, Run, Train” and it’s the same Plan I used to go from just walking, to running and then full body training in just 90 days.

I didn’t stop there though because just 7 months after starting out, and a few weeks after my 56th birthday, I was fit enough to qualify as a Firefighter. And it just got better and better as I got my life back too!

It’s been quite a journey, but I hope I can encourage more people to get moving again and start rebuilding their health & fitness too.

You must remember, when I started the only exercise I could manage was a brisk walk and yet just 6 months later as I was turning 56 I qualified to start training as a Firefighter. And I completed the training going “on the run” a short time later.

How Just About Anyone Can Use Sprints

There is a secret to Heart-rated Training that makes it even more effective for anyone just starting to exercise again.

Using this secret I could introduce “Sprints” even when the only exercise I could manage was a brisk walk. And they worked!

And the reason this is so important is that we all need to exercise at different metabolic levels. We all have different energy systems that enable us to do just that and we all need to activate those energy systems.
